Nearly all American baby circs done last century were done with no pain reduction whatsoever. That was totally barbaric. Half or more of USA doctors who still snip baby johnsons still refuse to use lidocaine, the stuff they shoot into your jaw when you have a root canal done. I blame USA doctors for this situation, not parents.
As for damage to sexual pleasure and functionality, here's what I say. When you circumcise a baby's penis, his future adult penis enters a lottery. Often the result is not bad, but there are occasional disasters, including adult men who cannot marry, or who do marry and have kids, and then watch their marital sex lives peter out in their 50s and 60s. American doctors and sex therapists are NOT clued up on circumcision damage.
By applying tension to the penis skin for 1-2 years, a cut man can regrow a foreskin of sorts, and this "restored" foreskin can offset some of the sexual damage of circ. But a man can never regrow the rich network of specialised nerves that inhabit the foreskin.
My dear Lila, the male bits sacrificed to circ are the male analogs to the exquisitely sensitive hood on your clitoris. The moving bits also make intercourse slower and gentler. I suspect that more of more of your sisters have become aware of these facts, which is why feistiest defenders of the uncut johnson are now nearly all women. |

I thank you for your feisty defence of the movable bits on the end of johnson. There is no need to remove those bits in order to make possible or facilitate condom use.
I am intact & have used condoms often. Putting a condom on an intact johnson can require time and attention to detail, but it's doable. Once it's on it stays on until I grow soft at the end. When I pull out, she has to use her fingers to prevent the sperm from spilling out.
Circumcised men feel less, especially after 40 or 50. Men feel less when they wear condoms. There is a possibility that condoms + circumcision = boring sex esp. after age 30 or 40. If this is the case, we can conclude that circ discourages condom use, and that is deplorable. It is a bald fact that the worldwide STD epidemic is worse in the USA than in Europe, and that could simply be because American men resist condoms more than European ones. And the fact that adult Americans are cut while Europeans are not could be the crucial detail here. |
