| Journals - Out for a walk... |
So I went out for a walk yesterday, in what should be a fairly social area... up the nice part of Whyte, around the University, and back down again. I even took care not to wear my biker leather, because I wanted a nice, friendly walk, where I wasn't scaring people.
And, sadly, I noticed that people don't even look at you when you walk by anymore. It wasn't even me, I watched people pass other people and not even acknowledge their existence. Young or old, man or woman, dark uni path or well lit street, didn't seem to make a difference. Have we really gotten so bad that we can't take half a second out of our day to smile at a stranger, or even just nod? People don't even bother to move when you're walking by anymore, they just assume you're going to get out of their way.
I think it's pretty telling of how shitty things have gotten when supposedly upstanding citizens run by in their own little bubble, and the only single person to give me a nod was a scary looking vagrant. Just another sign that the world is starting to suck. Teach your kids to be different. |

I was just poking around while I was home sick and came across this place, thought it looked nifty enough to sign on to.
I don't have much to put here now... I work hard during the week (too hard, most people say), I enjoy blowing off some steam on Saturdays at New City downtown. I'm not the most social guy (it's hard to talk to cute girls in a club when you're 6'5", you look like a perv leaning over them so you can hear!), but I'm working on it!! :)
I'm sure I'll find some more crap to put in here later, anything else just get off your ass and ask!
I don't have much up, but check out my photobucket:
